G Suite is a brand of cloud computing, productivity & collaboration tools, and software & products developed by Google, first launched on August 28, 2006 as "Google Apps for Your Domain", which is becoming a paid-only service in 2022.

The sudden involuntary change (see #Criticism) of free tier to a paid tier (under threat of loss of access to your personal data) made it clear you canβt depend on G Suite as a good faith service to access your data.

Multiple Google services and websites including YouTube, Gmail, Google Assistant, and Google Docs were down for around an hour on Monday morning after being hit with a widespread outage.
Criticism
Sudden retiring of free tier
Google announced retiring of free usage level with less than 4 months notice before they auto-upgrade free accounts to auto-charged paid accounts on 2022-05-01.
