Morris

Morris is a self-hosted PHP service for storing Webmentions from webmention.io in a JSON format that static sites can use to render them without querying webmention.io on each build.

Features
- Receive webmentions from webmention.io via webhook notification.
- Stores mention data, along with a lookup index, in a configurable data folder.
- Saves the jf2 data for each mention from webmention.io in its own file. The filename serves as an ID for looking up the mention data, and is derived from the hash of the webmention's source and target URLs.
- An index file maps a path like
/2018/05/04/a-great-post/to a list of mention IDs for that path.
- Uses webmention.io's "callback secret" to ensure that data comes from webmention.io.
- Passthrough functionality allows mentions to be passed along to other webhooks for features like notifications.
- Publish functionality allows Morris to republish your site as mentions come in. This feature requires writing code to trigger your site's build process.
How to Use
Once your site is set up to receive webmentions at webmention.io, you can install Morris on your own server, configure it to store mention data in a folder where your static site generator will make them available for your templates to render them.
