Tutorial: Find and purchase a great domain name for your site
Note: we will be using Hover.com as the registrar for this tutorial section. Many other registrars exists that can be used instead.
With apologies to Douglas Adams, in this tutorial we are looking to set up a site that's almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea.
Register a domain name at hover.com
Here are the steps:
| 1. | Go to hover.com. In the big search box on their front page, enter a domain name you might like, or just a word that you'd like to be in your domain name. |  |
| 2. | The registrar presents you with a set of domain name choices. Either the domain is available exactly as you entered it, or it will suggest some variation. Pick the choice you like best by clicking on the + |  |
| 3. | The domain will be added to your cart. |  |
| 4. | Proceed to checkout |  |
| 5. | Create a new account with your name, e-mail address etc. |  |
| 6. | Confirm the purchase and the ownerhip information that will be used for your new domain. |
